Yaw Rate Sensor Communication Stop Mode (FROM 12/2010): Procedure
- CHECK CAN BUS WIRE (YAW RATE SENSOR SUB BUS LINE DISCONNECTION)
- Turn the ignition switch off.
- Disconnect the yaw rate sensor connector (D28).
- Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.
Standard resistance
Tester Connection Condition Specified value D28-2 (CANL) - D28-3 (CANH) Ignition switch off 54 to 69 Ω
NG → REPAIR OR REPLACE YAW RATE SENSOR SUB BUS LINE OR CONNECTOR
OK: Go to next step
- CHECK WIRE HARNESS (IG, GND)
- Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

Standard resistance
Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition D28-1 (GND) - Body ground Always Below 1 Ω - Measure the voltage according to the value(s) in the table below.
Standard voltage
Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition D28-5 (IG) - Body ground Ignition switch ON 10 to 14 V
NG → REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR
OK → See step 3
- Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.
- REPLACE YAW RATE AND ACCELERATION SENSOR. Refer to REMOVAL
