Combination Switch ECU Power Source Circuit: Procedure

  1. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (BATTERY - COMBINATION SWITCH) 
    1. Disconnect the connector from the combination switch ECU.

    2. Measure the voltage according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Voltage

      Tester connection Condition Specified Condition
      D13-1 - Body ground Always 10 to 14 V

    NG → REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR 

    OK: Go to next step 

  2. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (IGNITION SWITCH CIRCUIT) 
    1. Measure the voltage according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Voltage

      Tester connection Condition Specified Condition
      D13-2 - Body ground Ignition switch on (IG) 10 to 14 V
      D13-2 - Body ground Ignition switch off Below 1 V

    NG → REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR 

    OK: Go to next step 

  3. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (COMBINATION SWITCH - BODY GROUND) 
    1. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Resistance

      Tester connection Condition Specified Condition
      D13-5 - Body ground Always Below 1 Ω

    NG → REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR 

    OK → PROCEED TO  PROBLEM SYMPTOMS TABLE   NEXT CIRCUIT INSPECTION SHOWN IN PROBLEM SYMPTOMS TABLE
