Multi-media Interface ECU Power Source Circuit: Procedure

  1. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (INTERFACE ECU - BATTERY, BODY GROUND) 
    1. Disconnect the L36 multi-media interface ECU connector.
    2. Measure the voltage according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Voltage

      Tester Connection Switch Condition Specified Condition
      L36-12 (+B) - L36-7 (GND) Always 11 to 14 V
      L36-11 (ACC) - L36-7 (GND) Engine switch on (ACC) 11 to 14 V

      (to Multi-media Interface ECU)

    NG → See step   3 

    OK → See step   2 

  2. PROCEED TO NEXT SUSPECTED AREA SHOWN IN PROBLEM SYMPTOMS TABLE. Refer to  PROBLEM SYMPTOMS TABLE 
  3. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (INTERFACE ECU - NAVIGATION MODULE) 
    1. Disconnect the F43 display and navigation module display connector.
    2. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance

      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      L36-11 (ACC) - F43-11 (ACC) Always Below 1 Ω
      L36-12 (+B) - F43-12 (+B) Always Below 1 Ω
      L36-7 (GND) - F43-7 (GND) Always Below 1 Ω
      L36-11 (ACC) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher
      L36-12 (+B) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher
      L36-7 (GND) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher

    NG → REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR 

    OK → See step   4 

  4. REPLACE DISPLAY AND NAVIGATION MODULE DISPLAY. Refer to  REMOVAL
