Luggage Compartment Door Open Switch Circuit: Procedure

  1. INSPECT CERTIFICATION ECU (LUGGAGE COMPARTMENT DOOR OPENER OUTER SWITCH SIGNAL) 
    1. Disconnect the D39 ECU connector.

    2. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance

      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      TSW5 (D39-7) - Body ground luggage compartment door opener outer switch not pushed → Pushed 10 kΩ or higher → Below 1 Ω

    NG → See step   2 

    OK → PROCEED TO  PROBLEM SYMPTOMS TABLE  NEXT CIRCUIT INSPECTION SHOWN IN PROBLEM SYMPTOMS TABLE 

  2. INSPECT LUGGAGE COMPARTMENT DOOR OPENER OUTER SWITCH 
    1. Disconnect the switch connector.

    2. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance

      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      1 - 2 luggage compartment door opener outer switch not pushed → Pushed 10 kΩ or higher → Below 1 Ω

    NG → REPLACE LUGGAGE COMPARTMENT DOOR OPENER OUTER SWITCH 

    OK: Go to next step 

  3. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (LUGGAGE COMPARTMENT DOOR OPENER OUTER SWITCH - BODY GROUND) 
    1. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance

      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      K39-2 - Body ground Always Below 1 Ω

    NG → REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR (LUGGAGE COMPARTMENT DOOR OPENER OUTER SWITCH - BODY GROUND) 

    OK → REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR (LUGGAGE COMPARTMENT DOOR OPENER OUTER SWITCH - ECU)
