Transmitter Battery: Replacement: Replacement

  1. REMOVE TRANSMITTER BATTERY (w/o Smart Key System) 
    1. Using a screwdriver with its tip wrapped in protective tape, pry open the transmitter housing cover.

      NOTE:

      Do not forcibly pry the cover.

    2. Using a screwdriver with its tip wrapped in protective tape, remove the door control transmitter module from the transmitter housing case.

      NOTE:

      Handle each part with care as they are delicate electrical parts.

    3. Twist a coin in the direction of the arrow in the illustration, and remove the transmitter battery cover.

    4. Remove the battery (lithium battery: CR2025).

      NOTE:
      • Do not push the terminals with your finger.
      • Do not forcibly pry up the battery. The terminals may become damaged.
      • Do not touch the battery with wet hands. Water may cause rust.
      • Do not touch or move any components inside the transmitter. It may cease to work.
  2. REMOVE TRANSMITTER BATTERY (w/ Smart Key System) 
    1. Remove the mechanical key.

    2. Insert a screwdriver into the gap, and turn the screwdriver to detach the cover.

      HINT: 

      Tape the screwdriver tip before use.

    3. Insert a screwdriver into the gap and gently remove the battery (lithium battery).

      NOTE:
      • Do not push the terminals with your finger.
      • Do not forcibly pry up the battery (lithium battery) because doing so will deform the terminals.
      • Do not touch the battery with wet hands. Water may result in corrosion.
      • Do not touch or move any components inside the transmitter because handling the components may interfere with proper operation of the transmitter.
  3. INSTALL TRANSMITTER BATTERY (w/o Smart Key System) 
    1. Install the battery (lithium battery: CR2025) with the positive (+) side facing upward, as shown in the illustration.

      NOTE:
      • Be careful not to bend the transmitter battery electrode during insertion.
      • Keep the transmitter cover interior free of dust and oil.
    2. Install the cover.

    3. Install the door control transmitter module into the transmitter housing case.

    4. Install the transmitter housing cover to the transmitter housing case.

    5. Check that the transmitter's LED illuminates when the switch is pressed.

      OK

  4. INSTALL TRANSMITTER BATTERY (w/ Smart Key System) 
    1. Install a new battery (lithium battery) with the positive (+) side up as shown in the illustration.

    2. Press down gently on the battery to set it in place.

      NOTE:
      • Be sure that the positive and negative sides of the transmitter battery are positioned correctly.
      • Be careful not to bend the terminals of the transmitter battery during installation.
      • Keep the interior of the transmitter case free of dust, water, and oil.
    3. Install the cover by pressing it as shown in the illustration.

    4. Install the mechanical key.

      HINT: 

      After the installation, press one of the transmitter switches and check that the LED illuminates.
