Rear Speed Sensor: Removal: Removal

- REMOVE REAR WHEEL
- DISCONNECT SKID CONTROL SENSOR WIRE
- Disconnect the connector from the skid control sensor.
- REMOVE REAR DISC BRAKE CALIPER ASSEMBLY LH . Refer to REMOVAL - Step 2
- REMOVE REAR DISC
- REMOVE REAR AXLE HUB & BEARING ASSEMBLY LH
- Remove the 4 bolts and rear axle hub & bearing assembly.
- REMOVE REAR SPEED SENSOR
- Mount the rear axle hub in a vise between aluminum plates.
NOTE:
Replace the axle hub & bearing assembly if it is dropped or receives a strong shock.
- Using a pin punch and hammer, drive out the 2 pins and remove the 2 attachments (09521-00010) from SST.

- Using SST and 2 bolts (Diameter: 12 mm, pitch: 1.5 mm), remove the rear speed sensor from the rear axle hub.

NOTE:- If damage is inflicted on the sensor rotor, replace the axle hub & bearing assembly.
- Do not scratch the contact surface of axle hub and speed sensor.

- Mount the rear axle hub in a vise between aluminum plates.
