Sound Signal Circuit between Navigation Receiver Assembly and Stereo Jack Adapter: Procedure

  1. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (STEREO JACK ADAPTER - NAVIGATION RECEIVER ASSEMBLY) 
    1. Disconnect the E44 stereo jack adapter connector.

    2. Disconnect the E89 navigation receiver assembly connector.
    3. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance

      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      E44-1 (ALO) - E89-17 (ALI) Always Below 1 Ω
      E44-2 (ARO) - E89-15 (ARI) Always Below 1 Ω
      E44-3 (ASGN) - E89-16 (ASGN) Always Below 1 Ω
      E44-4 (AUXO) - E89-19 (AUXI) Always Below 1 Ω
      E44-5 (AGND) - E89-18 (AGND) Always Below 1 Ω
      E44-1 (ALO) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher
      E44-2 (ARO) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher
      E44-3 (ASGN) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher
      E44-4 (AUXO) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher
      E44-5 (AGND) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher

    NG → REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR 

    OK → See step   2 

  2. PROCEED TO NEXT SUSPECTED AREA SHOWN IN  PROBLEM SYMPTOMS TABLE
