DTC B2786: No Response from Steering Lock ECU: Procedure
- CLEAR DTC
- Clear the DTC. Refer to DTC CHECK / CLEAR .
NEXT: Go to next step
- CHECK FOR DTC
- Recheck for DTCs. Refer to DTC CHECK / CLEAR

- CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (CERTIFICATION ECU - STEERING LOCK ECU)

- Disconnect the E84 and E77 ECU connectors.
- Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.
Standard Resistance
Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition E84-10 (LIN) - E77-5 (LIN) Always Below 1 Ω E84-10 (LIN) or E77-5 (LIN) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher
NG → REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR
OK: Go to next step
- CHECK STEERING LOCK ECU (BATTERY VOLTAGE AND BODY GROUND)
- Disconnect the E77 ECU connector.
- Measure the resistance and voltage according to the value(s) in the table below.
Standard Resistance
Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition E77-1 (GND) - Body ground Always Below 1 Ω Standard Voltage
Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition E77-7 (B) - Body ground Always 11 to 14 V
NG → REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR
OK: Go to next step
- REPLACE STEERING LOCK ACTUATOR ASSEMBLY (STEERING LOCK ECU)
- Temporarily replace the steering lock ECU with a new one. Refer to REMOVAL
.NOTE:
When replacing the steering lock ECU, registration must be performed according to the "Registration" procedures. Refer to REGISTRATION .
- Clear the DTC. Refer to DTC CHECK / CLEAR .
NEXT: Go to next step
- Temporarily replace the steering lock ECU with a new one. Refer to REMOVAL

- CHECK FOR DTC
- Recheck for DTCs. Refer to DTC CHECK / CLEAR
