How To Proceed With Troubleshooting

HINT: 

• Use these procedures to troubleshoot the power window control system.
• *: Use the Techstream.

1. VEHICLE BROUGHT TO WORKSHOP 

   NEXT: Go to next step 

2. INSPECT BATTERY VOLTAGE 

   Standard voltage

   11 to 14 V

   If the voltage is below 11 V, recharge or replace the battery before proceeding.

   NEXT: Go to next step 

3. CHECK FOR DTC* 
   1. Check for DTCs and make a note of any codes that are output.
   2. Clear the DTCs.
   3. Recheck for DTCs. Based on the DTCs output in the first step, try to force output of the same DTC by simulating the symptoms indicated by the DTC.

      C → GO TO CAN COMMUNICATION SYSTEM, refer to  HOW TO PROCEED WITH TROUBLESHOOTING 

      D → GO TO LIN COMMUNICATION SYSTEM, refer to  HOW TO PROCEED WITH TROUBLESHOOTING 

      A: Go to next step 

4. PROBLEM SYMPTOMS TABLE 
   1. Refer to the Problem Symptoms Table, refer to PROBLEM SYMPTOMS TABLE .

      Fault listed in Problem Symptoms Table	B

      B → GO TO STEP 6

5. OVERALL ANALYSIS AND TROUBLESHOOTING* 
   1. Operation Check, refer to OPERATION CHECK .
   2. Terminals of ECU, refer to TERMINALS OF ECU .
   3. Data List/Active Test, refer to DATA LIST / ACTIVE TEST .

      NEXT: Go to next step 

6. REPAIR OR REPLACEMENT 
   RESULT
   
   

   Result	Proceed to
   Door window regulator and power window regulator motor assembly is replaced or removed/installed.	A
   Door window regulator and power window regulator motor assembly is not replaced or removed/installed.	B

   B → GO TO STEP 8 

   A: Go to next step 

7. RESET POWER WINDOW REGULATOR MOTOR 
   1. If the power window regulator master switch AUTO light is blinking, reset the power window regulator motor, refer to INITIALIZATION .

      NEXT: Go to next step 

8. CONFIRMATION TEST 

   NEXT → END
