How To Proceed With Troubleshooting

HINT: 

  1. VEHICLE BROUGHT TO WORKSHOP 

    NEXT: Go to next step 

  2. CUSTOMER PROBLEM ANALYSIS 
    1. Interview the customer and confirm the trouble.

      NEXT: Go to next step 

  3. CHECK DTC AND FREEZE FRAME DATA* 
    1. Check and record DTC and Freeze Frame Data.
    2. Clear the DTC and Freeze Frame Data. Refer to DTC CHECK / CLEAR  for DTC Check/Clear or Refer to FREEZE FRAME DATA  for Freeze Frame Data).
    3. Reconfirm the DTC.
      1. Reconfirm the DTC based on the recorded DTC and Freeze Frame Data. Refer to DTC CHECK / CLEAR  for DTC Check/Clear or Refer to FREEZE FRAME DATA  for Freeze Frame Data).

        HINT: 

        If any of the DTCs U0100/65, U0123/62, U0124/95, and U0126/63 are output together with a CAN communication DTC, first check the appropriate sensor for a momentary open circuit. Refer to CHECK FOR INTERMITTENT PROBLEMS .

  4. DIAGNOSTIC TROUBLE CODE CHART 
    1. Proceed to Diagnostic Trouble Code Chart. Refer to DIAGNOSTIC TROUBLE CODE CHART .

  5. SYMPTOM SIMULATION 
    1. Proceed to Check for Intermittent Problems. Refer to CHECK FOR INTERMITTENT PROBLEMS .

      NEXT: Go to next step 

  6. PROBLEM SYMPTOMS TABLE 
    1. Proceed to Problem Symptoms Table. Refer to PROBLEM SYMPTOMS TABLE .

  7. CIRCUIT INSPECTION*
