Wiper Switch (HI Speed) Circuit: Procedure

  1. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (COMBINATION SWITCH ECU - FRONT CONTROLLER) 
    1. Disconnect the combination switch ECU connector.

    2. Disconnect the 1G connector from the front controller.

    3. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Resistance

      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      D13-3 - 1G-4 Always Below 1 Ω
      1G-4 - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher

    NG → REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR 

    OK: Go to next step 

  2. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (COMBINATION SWITCH ECU - BODY GROUND) 
    1. Disconnect the combination switch ECU connector.

    2. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Resistance

      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      D13-5 - Body ground Always Below 1 Ω

    NG → REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR 

    OK → PROCEED TO NEXT CIRCUIT INSPECTION SHOWN IN  PROBLEM SYMPTOMS TABLE
