Touch Sensor Circuit: Procedure
- READ VALUE USING TECHSTREAM
- Connect Techstream to the DLC3.
- Turn the engine switch on (IG).
- Turn the tester on.
- Enter the following menus: Body Electrical / Smart Key / Data List.
- Read the Data List according to the display on the tester.SMART KEY:

OFF: Touch sensor does not touched- OK
On the tester screen, each item changes between ON and OFF according to the chart above.
OK → PROCEED TO NEXT CIRCUIT INSPECTION SHOWN IN PROBLEM SYMPTOMS TABLE
NG: Go to next step
- CHECK WIRE HARNESS (CERTIFICATION ECU - DOOR OSCILLATOR)
- Disconnect the D39 and D40 ECU connector.
- Disconnect the oscillator connectors.
- Measure the resistance between the oscillator and the certification ECU to check for an open circuit in the wire harness.

Below 1 Ω
- Measure the resistance between the oscillator and the certification ECU to check for an short circuit in the wire harness.
Resistance
10 kΩ or higher
HINT:
Refer to the appropriate wiring diagram for connection of each terminal.
NG → REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR
OK: Go to next step
- INSPECT CERTIFICATION ECU
- Reconnect the ECU and the oscillator connectors.
- Connect Techstream to the DLC3.
- Turn the engine switch on (IG).
- Measure the voltage according to the value(s) in the table below.

- REPLACE DOOR OSCILLATOR (CHECK OPERATION OF DOOR OSCILLATOR)
- Replace the door oscillator.
- Check that the entry UNLOCK function operates normally.
