How To Proceed With Troubleshooting

HINT: 

  1. VEHICLE BROUGHT TO WORKSHOP 

    NEXT: Go to next step 

  2. CUSTOMER PROBLEM ANALYSIS 
    1. Confirm problem symptoms. Refer to HOW TO PROCEED WITH TROUBLESHOOTING .

      NEXT: Go to next step 

  3. CHECK MULTIPLEX COMMUNICATION SYSTEM* 
    1. Use the Techstream to check if the Multiplex communication system is functioning normally. Refer to DTC CHECK / CLEAR .

      Result

      Result Proceed to
      Multiplex communication DTC is not output. A
      Multiplex communication DTC is output. B

      B → INSPECT MULTIPLEX COMMUNICATION SYSTEM. Refer to  HOW TO PROCEED WITH TROUBLESHOOTING  .

      A: Go to next step 

  4. CHECK CAN COMMUNICATION SYSTEM* 
    1. Use the Techstream to check if the CAN communication system is functioning normally.

      HINT: 

      Refer to Bus Check for the CAN communication system. Refer to DIAGNOSIS SYSTEM .

      The center airbag sensor assembly is connected to the CAN communication system. Therefore, before starting troubleshooting, make sure to check that there is no trouble in the CAN communication system.

      CAN communication DTC is output. B

      B → INSPECT CAN COMMUNICATION CIRCUIT. Refer to  HOW TO PROCEED WITH TROUBLESHOOTING  .

  5. SRS WARNING LIGHT CHECK 
    1. Refer to DIAGNOSIS SYSTEM .

      NEXT: Go to next step 

  6. CHECK FOR DTC* 
    1. Refer to DTC CHECK / CLEAR .

      Result

      DTC is output. A
      DTC is not output. B
