Sound Signal Circuit between Navigation Receiver Assembly and Multi-media Interface ECU: Procedure
- CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (NAVIGATION RECEIVER ASSEMBLY - MULTI-MEDIA INTERFACE ECU)
- Disconnect the E53 navigation receiver assembly connector.
- Disconnect the E41 multi-media interface ECU connector.
- Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.
Standard Resistance
Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition E53-2 (CDR+) - E41-2 (URO+) Always Below 1 Ω E53-3 (CDR-) - E41-3 (URO-) Always Below 1 Ω E53-4 (CDL+) - E41-4 (ULO+) Always Below 1 Ω E53-5 (CDL-) - E41-5 (ULO-) Always Below 1 Ω E53-2 (CDR+) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher E53-3 (CDR-) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher E53-4 (CDL+) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher E53-5 (CDL-) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher E41-1 (USD1) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher
NG → REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR
OK: Go to next step
- INSPECT MULTI-MEDIA INTERFACE ECU
- Reconnect the E41 multi-media interface ECU connector.
- Check the waveform according to the conditions in the table below.
