DTC B1787: Rear Occupant Classification Sensor LH Collision Detection: Procedure

  1. PERFORM ZERO POINT CALIBRATION AND SENSITIVITY CHECK 
    1. Using the Techstream, perform Zero Point Calibration and Sensitivity Check. Refer to INITIALIZATION .

      OK

      "Zero Point Calibration is complete." and "Sensitivity Check is complete." are displayed.

    NG → See step   3 

    OK: Go to next step 

  2. CHECK DTC 
    1. Clear the DTCs stored in the occupant detection ECU. Refer to DTC CHECK / CLEAR .
    2. Clear the DTCs stored in the airbag sensor assembly. Refer to DTC CHECK / CLEAR for Separate Type Yaw Rate Sensor. Refer to DTC CHECK / CLEAR for Built-in Type Yaw Rate Sensor.
    3. Turn the ignition switch off.
    4. Turn the ignition switch to ON.
    5. Check for DTCs. Refer to DTC CHECK / CLEAR .

      OK

      DTC B1787 is not output.

      HINT: 

      Codes other than DTC B1787 may be output at this time, but they are not related to this check.

    6. Turn the ignition switch off.

    NG → See step   3 

    OK → END 

  3. REPLACE FRONT SEAT FRAME WITH ADJUSTER ASSEMBLY RH 
    1. Disconnect the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal.
    2. Replace the front seat frame with adjuster assembly RH. Refer to REMOVAL for TMMK Made Manual Seat. Refer to REMOVAL for TMMK Made Power Seat. Refer to REMOVAL for SIA Made Manual Seat. Refer to REMOVAL for SIA Made Power Seat.
    3. Connect the cable to the negative (-) battery terminal.

    NEXT: Go to next step 

  4. PERFORM ZERO POINT CALIBRATION AND SENSITIVITY CHECK 
    1. Using the Techstream, perform Zero Point Calibration and Sensitivity Check. Refer to INITIALIZATION .
