Display Signal Circuit between Television Display Assembly and Navigation Receiver Assembly: Procedure
- CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (NAVIGATION RECEIVER - TELEVISION DISPLAY ASSEMBLY)
- Disconnect the E25 navigation receiver assembly connector.
- Disconnect the Q13 television display assembly connector.
- Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.
Standard Resistance
Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition E25-2 (VV+) - Q13-11 (NTS1) Always Below 1 Ω E25-6 (VV-) - Q13-10 (SG3) Always Below 1 Ω E25-2 (VV+) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher E25-6 (VV-) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher Q13-9 (SGN1) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher
NG → REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR
OK: Go to next step
- INSPECT TELEVISION DISPLAY ASSEMBLY
- Reconnect the Q13 television display assembly connector.
- Measure the waveform according to the table below.
OK
Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition Q13-11 (NTS1) - Body ground DVD display is on A waveform synchronized with display signals is output HINT:
The waveform pattern may differ from that shown in the illustration below due to differences in the oscilloscope setting. A normal television display assembly operating condition can be determined if any waveform is output.
- Oscilloscope waveform
Item Content Measurement terminal Q13-11 (NTS1) - Body ground Measurement setting 200 mV/DIV., 50 μs/DIV. Condition DVD display is on NOTE:The video waveform changes according to the image output from television display assembly to navigation receiver assembly, but the synchronization signal does not change.
