Unlock Position Sensor Signal Circuit: Procedure

  1. INSPECT STEERING LOCK ACTUATOR ASSEMBLY (STEERING LOCK ECU) 
    1. Measure the voltage according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard voltage

      Tester Connection Switch Condition Specified Condition
      D11-4 (SLP1) - D11-2 (SGND)
      1. Engine switch off
      2. Engine switch on (ACC or IG)
      Below 1 V

    NG → See step   2 

    OK → See step   3 

  2. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (STEERING LOCK ACTUATOR ASSEMBLY - MAIN BODY ECU) 
    1. Disconnect the D11 connector from the steering lock actuator assembly.

    2. Disconnect the D8 connector from the main body ECU.
    3. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard resistance

      Tester Connection Switch Condition Specified Condition
      D11-4 (SLP1) - D8-18 (SLP) Always Below 1 Ω
      D11-4 (SLP1) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher

    NG → REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR 

    OK → See step   4 

  3. CHECK SMART KEY SYSTEM. Refer to  HOW TO PROCEED WITH TROUBLESHOOTING 
  4. PROCEED TO NEXT CIRCUIT INSPECTION SHOWN IN PROBLEM SYMPTOMS TABLE. Refer to  PROBLEM SYMPTOMS TABLE
