Removal

U140F AUTOMATIC TRANSMISSION / TRANSAXLE: PARK / NEUTRAL POSITION SWITCH: REMOVAL

1. DISCONNECT CABLE FROM NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL

2. REMOVE BATTERY Removal

3. REMOVE BATTERY CARRIER Removal

4. SEPARATE TRANSMISSION CONTROL CABLE ASSEMBLY

(a) Remove the nut and disconnect the control cable assembly from the control shaft lever.





(b) Remove the clip and disconnect the transmission control cable assembly from the control cable bracket.

5. REMOVE PARK/NEUTRAL POSITION SWITCH ASSEMBLY

(a) Disconnect the park/neutral position switch connector.





(b) Remove the nut, washer and control shaft lever.





(c) Using a screwdriver, unstake the lock plate.





(d) Remove the nut and lock plate.

(e) Remove the 2 bolts and pull out the switch.
