How To Proceed With Troubleshooting

HINT: 

The wireless door lock control system troubleshooting procedure is based on the premise that the power door lock control system is operating normally. Check the power door lock control system first before troubleshooting the wireless door lock control system. Refer to HOW TO PROCEED WITH TROUBLESHOOTING .

Use this procedure to troubleshoot the wireless door lock control system.

  1. VEHICLE BROUGHT TO WORKSHOP 

    NEXT: Go to next step 

  2. CUSTOMER PROBLEM ANALYSIS 
    1. Interview the customer to confirm the problem. Refer to HOW TO PROCEED WITH TROUBLESHOOTING .

      NEXT: Go to next step 

  3. DTC CHECK 
    1. Check for DTCs and note any codes that are output.
    2. Clear the DTCs.
    3. Recheck for DTCs.

      Result

      Result Proceed to
      DTC is not output A
      DTC is output Refer to DTC CHECK / CLEAR 

      A: Go to next step 

  4. SYMPTOM SIMULATION 

    NEXT: Go to next step 

  5. PROBLEM SYMPTOMS TABLE 
    1. Refer to Problem Symptoms Table. Refer to PROBLEM SYMPTOMS TABLE .

      Fault is not listed in problem symptoms table A
      Fault is listed in problem symptoms table B

      B → Go to step 7 

      A: Go to next step 

  6. PERFORM TROUBLESHOOTING ACCORDING TO MALFUNCTION SYMPTOM 
    1. Terminals of ECU. Refer to TERMINALS OF ECU .
    2. Data List/Active Test. Refer to DATA LIST / ACTIVE TEST .

      NEXT: Go to next step 

  7. ADJUST, REPAIR OR REPLACE 

    NEXT: Go to next step 

  8. CONFIRMATION TEST 

    NEXT → END
