ENGINE IMMOBILIZER SYSTEM (w/o Smart Key System): Precaution: Precaution

  1. PRECAUTIONS FOR THE KEY 
    1. The key is a precision instrument. Be sure to observe the following:
      1. Do not drop or strike the key.
      2. Do not allow the key to be kept in a high temperature place for a long time.
      3. Do not use an ultrasonic washing machine to clean the key.
      4. Keep the key away from magnets or magnetized items during use.
      5. Do not attach any stickers to the key.
  2. PRECAUTION FOR RECONNECTING THE BATTERY CABLE 
    1. When reconnecting the cable to the negative (-) battery terminal, before starting the engine, wait at least 5 seconds after turning the ignition switch to ON. The engine may start and stall if it is started immediately after reconnecting the battery cable.
