DTC 01-DC: Transmission Error: Procedure

  1. CHECK FOR DTC OF OTHER COMPONENTS 
    1. Check if the component shown by the sub-code is displayed in the check result of the other components.
      1. Check if DTC 01-DC is output for the other components.

        HINT: 

        If DTC 01-DC is output for any other components, check if the same physical address is displayed.

        Result

        Result Proceed to
        DTC 01-DC is output and the same physical address is displayed A
        DTC 01-DC is not output or the same physical address is not displayed B

        HINT: 

        For the list of the components shown by sub-codes, refer to COMPONENT TABLE  in step 2.

    A: Go to next step 

  2. IDENTIFY COMPONENT WHICH HAS STORED THIS CODE 
    1. Enter diagnostic mode.

    2. Press preset switch "2" to change the mode to "Detailed Information Mode".
    3. Identify the component which has stored this code.
      COMPONENT TABLE

      Component Physical Address
      Radio receiver assembly 190
      Multi-media interface ECU 388
      Satellite radio tuner 1F1

      HINT: 

      • The physical address "P440" shown in the above example indicates the stereo component amplifier.
      • For details of the DTC display, refer to DTC Check/Clear. Refer to DTC CHECK / CLEAR .

    NEXT: Go to next step 

  3. CHECK COMPONENT WHICH HAS STORED THIS CODE 
    1. Select the component which has stored this code.
      COMPONENT TABLE

      Radio receiver assembly Radio receiver communication error. Refer to Radio Receiver Communication Error 
      Multi-media interface ECU Multi-media interface ECU communication error. Refer to Multi-media Interface ECU Communication Error 
      Satellite radio tuner Satellite radio tuner communication error. Refer to Satellite Radio Tuner Communication Error 

    NEXT → END 

  4. CLEAR DTC 
    1. Clear the DTCs. Refer to DTC CHECK / CLEAR .

      HINT: 

      If "01-DC" is output for only one component, this may not indicate a malfunction.

    NEXT: Go to next step 

  5. RECHECK FOR DTC 
    1. Recheck for DTCs and check if the same DTC is output again.

      OK

      No DTCs are output.

    NG → See step   6 

    OK → END 

  6. CHECK COMPONENT WHICH HAS STORED THIS CODE 
    1. Select the component which has stored this code.
