DTC B1443/43: Air Outlet Damper Control Servo Motor Circuit: Procedure

  1. READ VALUE USING TECHSTREAM 
    1. Connect the Techstream to the DLC3.
    2. Turn the ignition switch to ON.
    3. Turn the Techstream on.
    4. Operate the MODE switch.
    5. Enter the following menus: Body / Air Conditioner / Data List.
    6. Check the value(s) by referring to the table below.

      The display is as specified in the "Normal Condition" column.

    A: Go to next step 

  2. INSPECT AIR OUTLET CONTROL SERVO MOTOR 
    1. Replace the air outlet control servo motor. Refer to DISASSEMBLY .

      HINT: 

      Since the servo motor cannot be inspected while it is removed from the vehicle, replace the servo motor with a known good one and check that the condition returns to normal.

    2. Check for DTCs.

      Result

      DTC B1443/43 is not output B

    B → See step   6 

    A: Go to next step 

  3. INSPECT AIR CONDITIONING HARNESS 
    1. Replace the air conditioning harness. Refer to DISASSEMBLY .

      HINT: 

      Since the air conditioning harness cannot be inspected while it is removed from the vehicle, replace the air conditioning harness with a known good one and check that the condition returns to normal.

    2. Check for DTCs.

  4. PROCEED TO NEXT SUSPECTED AREA SHOWN IN PROBLEM SYMPTOMS TABLE. Refer to  PROBLEM SYMPTOMS TABLE 
  5. REPLACE AIR CONDITIONING AMPLIFIER. Refer to  REMOVAL 
  6. REPLACE AIR OUTLET CONTROL SERVO MOTOR. Refer to  DISASSEMBLY 
  7. REPLACE AIR CONDITIONING HARNESS. Refer to  DISASSEMBLY
