Problem Symptoms Table
WARNING: This page is about a different car, the 2012 Toyota Corolla. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.
If there are no DTCs output and the problem still occurs, check the circuits for each problem symptom in the order given in the table below and proceed to the relevant troubleshooting service information.
NOTE:
When replacing the brake actuator assembly, sensors, etc., turn the ignition switch off.
HINT:
- Use the table below to help determine the cause of problem symptoms. If multiple suspected areas are listed, the potential causes of the symptoms are listed in order of probability in the "Suspected Area" column of the table. Check each symptom by checking the suspected areas in the order they are listed. Replace parts as necessary.
- Inspect the fuses and relays related to this system before inspecting the suspected areas below.
ANTI-LOCK BRAKE SYSTEM
| Symptom | Suspected Area | See |
|---|---|---|
| ABS and/or EBD does not operate | Check for DTCs again and make sure that the normal system code is output. | Refer to DTC CHECK / CLEAR |
| IG power source circuit | Refer to DTC C1241/41: Low Battery Positive Voltage or Abnormally High Battery Positive Voltage | |
| Front speed sensor circuit | Refer to DTC C0200/31: Front Speed Sensor RH Circuit; DTC C0205/32: Front Speed Sensor LH Circuit; DTC C1271/71: Low Output Signal of Front Speed Sensor RH (Test Mode DTC); DTC C1272/72: Low Output Signal of Front Speed Sensor LH (Test Mode DTC) | |
