Section 43 (Engine Control System (2ZR-FE) (Service Information)): ECM: Removal: Removal

  1. DISCONNECT CABLE FROM NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL 
  2. REMOVE AIR CLEANER CAP SUB-ASSEMBLY  See step  3
  3. REMOVE AIR CLEANER CASE SUB-ASSEMBLY  . Refer to REMOVAL - Step 12
  4. REMOVE ECM 
    1. Separate the wire harness clamp.

    2. Disconnect the 2 ECM connectors.

      1. Push the locks on the 2 levers, then raise the levers, and disconnect the 2 ECM connectors.
        NOTE:

        After disconnecting the connectors, make sure that dirt, water or other foreign matter does not contact the connecting parts of the connectors.

    3. Remove the 3 bolts and the ECM.
    4. Remove the 4 screws and 2 ECM brackets.
