Inspection Procedure: Procedure

- CHECK FOR OPEN IN CAN BUS WIRE (YAW RATE SENSOR BRANCH WIRE)
- Turn the ignition switch off.TEXT IN ILLUSTRATION
*a Front view of wire harness connector
(to Yaw Rate Sensor) - Disconnect the yaw rate sensor connector.
- Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.
Standard Resistance
Tester Connection Switch Condition Specified Condition E97-3 (CANH) - E97-2 (CANL) Ignition switch off 54 to 69 Ω
NG → REPAIR OR REPLACE YAW RATE SENSOR BRANCH WIRE OR CONNECTOR
OK: Go to next step
- Turn the ignition switch off.
- CHECK WIRE HARNESS (IG, GND)
- Disconnect the yaw rate sensor connector.

Standard Resistance
Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition E97-1 (GND) - Body ground Always Below 1 Ω - Measure the voltage according to the value(s) in the table below.
Standard Voltage
Tester Connection Switch Condition Specified Condition E97-4 (IG) - Body ground Ignition switch ON 10 to 14 V
NG → REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR
OK → See step 3
- Disconnect the yaw rate sensor connector.
- REPLACE YAW RATE SENSOR. Refer to REMOVAL
