- CHECK CONNECTION METHOD
- Check the method used to connect the USB device or "iPod" to the No. 1 stereo jack adapter assembly.
Result
Condition Proceed to USB device or "iPod" is connected using a connection cable. A USB device is directly connected. B

- Check the method used to connect the USB device or "iPod" to the No. 1 stereo jack adapter assembly.
- REPLACE CONNECTION CABLE
- Disconnect the USB device or "iPod" and connection cable from the No. 1 stereo jack adapter assembly.
- Turn the ignition switch off.
HINT:
When one of these DTCs has been stored, it is necessary to turn off the ignition switch to make it possible for the vehicle to recognize a new device when it is connected.
- Turn the ignition switch to ACC.
- Connect a known good connection cable to the No. 1 stereo jack adapter assembly and connect the USB device or "iPod" to the connection cable.
NEXT: Go to next step
- CLEAR DTC
- Clear the DTCs. Refer to DTC CHECK / CLEAR .
NEXT: Go to next step
- CHECK DTC
- Recheck for DTCs and check if the same DTC is output again.
HINT:
If DTCs are detected frequently, replace the multi-media interface ECU.
OK
No DTCs are output.
NG → See step 5
OK → END (CONNECTION CABLE WAS DEFECTIVE)
- Recheck for DTCs and check if the same DTC is output again.
- REPLACE USB DEVICE OR "iPod"
- Disconnect the USB device or "iPod" from the No. 1 stereo jack adapter assembly.
- Turn the ignition switch off.
HINT:
When one of these DTCs has been stored, it is necessary to turn off the ignition switch to make it possible for the vehicle to recognize a new device when it is connected.
- Turn the ignition switch to ACC.
- Connect a known good USB device or "iPod" to the No. 1 stereo jack adapter assembly.
HINT:
If the malfunction occurred when a USB device was in use, use another USB device for the inspection. If the malfunction occurred when an "iPod" was in use, use another "iPod" for the inspection.

- CLEAR DTC
- Clear the DTCs. Refer to DTC CHECK / CLEAR .

- RECHECK FOR DTC
- Recheck for DTCs and check if the same DTC is output again.
HINT:
If DTCs are detected frequently, replace the multi-media interface ECU.
OK
No DTCs are output.

- Recheck for DTCs and check if the same DTC is output again.
- REPLACE MULTI-MEDIA INTERFACE ECU. Refer to REMOVAL
