Section 43 (Engine Control System (2ZR-FE) (Service Information)): ECM: Installation: Installation

INSTALL ECM
1. Install the 2 ECM brackets onto the ECM with the 4 screws.

  Torque: 8.8 N*m (90 kgf*cm, 78 in.*lbf)
2. Install the ECM with the 3 bolts.

  Torque: 8.0 N*m (82 kgf*cm, 71 in.*lbf)
3. Connect the 2 ECM connectors.
  1. Connect the 2 ECM connectors and lower the 2 levers.
    NOTE:
    When connecting the connectors, make sure that dirt, water or other foreign matter does not get caught between the connectors and other parts.
    
    Make sure that the 2 levers are securely locked.
4. Install the wire harness clamp.

INSTALL AIR CLEANER CASE SUB-ASSEMBLY . Refer to INSTALLATION - Step 62
INSTALL AIR CLEANER CAP SUB-ASSEMBLY See step 2
CONNECT CABLE TO NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL . Refer to INSTALLATION - Step 8
PERFORM INITIALIZATION
HINT:

Initialization cannot be completed by only removing the battery.
1. Perform the Reset Memory (AT initialization) when replacing the ECM. Refer to INITIALIZATION . (for Automatic Transaxle)
2. Perform the Registration (VIN registration) when replacing the ECM. Refer to REGISTRATION .
