Knock Sensor: Installation: Installation

INSTALL KNOCK SENSOR
1. Install the knock sensor with the bolt as shown in the illustration.

  Torque: 21 N*m (214 kgf*cm, 16 ft.*lbf)
2. Connect the knock sensor connector.

INSTALL INTAKE MANIFOLD
1. Install a new gasket to the intake manifold.

2. Install the intake manifold and intake manifold stay with the 4 bolts and 2 nuts.

  Torque: 28 N*m (286 kgf*cm, 21 ft.*lbf)
3. Connect the 2 wire harness clamps.

4. Connect the 2 wire harness clamps.

5. Connect the ventilation hose.

6. Connect the 2 hoses.

7. Connect the wire harness clamp and install the wire harness bracket with the bolt.

  Torque: 10 N*m (102 kgf*cm, 89 in.*lbf)
8. Connect the 2 water by-pass hoses and the throttle body connector.

INSTALL AIR CLEANER CAP SUB-ASSEMBLY WITH HOSE See step 2
CONNECT CABLE TO NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL
ADD ENGINE COOLANT . Refer to REPLACEMENT - Step 2
INSPECT FOR COOLANT LEAK . Refer to ON-VEHICLE INSPECTION - Step 1
INSTALL NO. 2 CYLINDER HEAD COVER . Refer to INSTALLATION - Step 85
