DTC B2275: STSW Monitor Malfunction: Procedure

- CHECK FOR DTC
- Clear the DTC. Refer to DTC CHECK / CLEAR .
- Turn the engine switch on (IG).
- After 15 seconds have elapsed, check if the trouble occurs again.
OK
DTC B2273 is not output.
NG → See step 2
OK → See step 4
- CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (MAIN BODY ECU (INSTRUMENT PANEL JUNCTION BLOCK) - ECM)
- Disconnect the E52 ECU connector.
- Disconnect the A50 ECM connector.
- Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.
Standard Resistance
Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition E52-4 (STSW) - A50-14 (STSW) Always Below 1 Ω E52-4 (STSW) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher
NG → REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR (MAIN BODY ECU (INSTRUMENT PANEL JUNCTION BLOCK) - ECM)
OK: Go to next step
- INSPECT MAIN BODY ECU (INSTRUMENT PANEL JUNCTION BLOCK)
- Reconnect the E52 connector.
- Measure the voltage according to the value(s) in the table below.
Standard Voltage
Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition E52-4 (STSW) - Body ground Brake pedal depressed, Engine switch hold on (ST) Output voltage at terminal AM1 or AM2 is -2 V or more.
NG → REPLACE MAIN BODY ECU (INSTRUMENT PANEL JUNCTION BLOCK)
OK → See step 5
- USE SIMULATION METHOD TO CHECK. Refer to HOW TO PROCEED WITH TROUBLESHOOTING
- REPLACE ECM. Refer to REMOVAL
