DTC B2275: STSW Monitor Malfunction: Procedure

  1. CHECK FOR DTC 
    1. Clear the DTC. Refer to DTC CHECK / CLEAR .
    2. Turn the engine switch on (IG).
    3. After 15 seconds have elapsed, check if the trouble occurs again.

      OK

      DTC B2273 is not output.

    NG → See step   2 

    OK → See step   4 

  2. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (MAIN BODY ECU (INSTRUMENT PANEL JUNCTION BLOCK) - ECM) 
    1. Disconnect the E52 ECU connector.

    2. Disconnect the A50 ECM connector.
    3. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance

      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      E52-4 (STSW) - A50-14 (STSW) Always Below 1 Ω
      E52-4 (STSW) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher

    NG → REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR (MAIN BODY ECU (INSTRUMENT PANEL JUNCTION BLOCK) - ECM) 

    OK: Go to next step 

  3. INSPECT MAIN BODY ECU (INSTRUMENT PANEL JUNCTION BLOCK) 
    1. Reconnect the E52 connector.

    2. Measure the voltage according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Voltage

      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      E52-4 (STSW) - Body ground Brake pedal depressed, Engine switch hold on (ST) Output voltage at terminal AM1 or AM2 is -2 V or more.

    NG → REPLACE MAIN BODY ECU (INSTRUMENT PANEL JUNCTION BLOCK) 

    OK → See step   5 

  4. USE SIMULATION METHOD TO CHECK. Refer to  HOW TO PROCEED WITH TROUBLESHOOTING 
  5. REPLACE ECM. Refer to  REMOVAL
