DTC B2277: Detecting Vehicle Submersion: Procedure

  1. CHECK FOR WATER DAMAGE 
    1. Check the main body ECU (instrument panel junction block), peripheral components, and wire harnesses for traces of water.

      OK

      There are no traces of water.

    NG → TAKE APPROPRIATE MEASURES AGAINST CAUSE OF WATER DAMAGE AND REPLACE MAIN BODY ECU (INSTRUMENT PANEL JUNCTION BLOCK) 

    OK: Go to next step 

  2. CHECK FOR DTC 
    1. Clear the DTC. Refer to DTC CHECK / CLEAR .
    2. Turn the engine switch on (IG).
    3. After 330 seconds have elapsed, check if the trouble occurs again.

      OK

      DTC B2277 is not output.

    NG → REPLACE MAIN BODY ECU (INSTRUMENT PANEL JUNCTION BLOCK) 

    OK → See step   3
