Front Speed Sensor: Installation: Installation

HINT: 

  1. INSTALL FRONT SPEED SENSOR (for TMC Made) 
    1. Install the front speed sensor with the bolt.

      Torque: 8.5 N*m (87 kgf*cm, 76 in.*lbf) 

      NOTE:
      • Prevent foreign matter from attaching to the sensor tip.
      • Do not file the sensor installation hole or surface because the gap between the magnet rotor and front speed sensor is important.
    2. Temporarily install the No. 1 sensor clamp to the shock absorber.

    3. Install the brake flexible hose with the bolt.

      Torque: 29 N*m (296 kgf*cm, 21 ft.*lbf) 

      NOTE:
      • Do not twist the front speed sensor wire harness during installation.
      • Tighten the brake flexible hose and front speed sensor together with the bolt. Make sure that the front speed sensor is positioned over the flexible hose.
    4. Install the No. 2 sensor clamp to the body with the bolt.

      Torque: 8.0 N*m (82 kgf*cm, 71 in.*lbf) 

    5. Install the front speed sensor wire harness clamp.

    6. Connect the speed sensor connector.
  2. INSTALL FRONT SPEED SENSOR (except TMC Made) 
    1. Install the front speed sensor with the bolt.

      Torque: 8.5 N*m (87 kgf*cm, 76 in.*lbf) 

      NOTE:
      • Prevent foreign matter from attaching to the sensor tip.
      • Do not file the sensor installation hole or surface because the gap between the magnet rotor and front speed sensor is important.
    2. Install with the clamp to the shock absorber.

    3. Temporarily install the No. 1 sensor clamp to the shock absorber.

    4. Install the brake flexible hose with the bolt.

      Torque: 29 N*m (296 kgf*cm, 21 ft.*lbf) 

      NOTE:
      • Do not twist the front speed sensor wire harness during installation.
      • Tighten the brake flexible hose and front speed sensor together with the bolt. Make sure that the front speed sensor is positioned over the flexible hose.
    5. Install the No. 2 sensor clamp to the body with the bolt.

      Torque: 8.0 N*m (82 kgf*cm, 71 in.*lbf) 

    6. Install the front speed sensor wire harness clamp.

    7. Connect the speed sensor connector.
  3. INSTALL FRONT FENDER LINER  . Refer to INSTALLATION - Step 6
  4. INSTALL SIDE MUDGUARD  . Refer to INSTALLATION - Step 1
  5. INSTALL FRONT WHEEL 

    Torque: 103 N*m (1050 kgf*cm, 76 ft.*lbf) 

  6. CONNECT CABLE TO NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL 
  7. CHECK FOR SPEED SENSOR SIGNAL
