Freeze Frame Data

  1. FREEZE FRAME DATA 
    1. Whenever a meter DTC is detected, the meter ECU (No. 3 meter circuit plate) stores the current vehicle state as Freeze Frame Data.
  2. CHECK FREEZE FRAME DATA 
    1. Connect the Techstream to the DLC3.
    2. Turn the power switch on (IG).
    3. Turn the Techstream on.
    4. Enter the following menus: Body Electrical / Combination Meter / Trouble Codes.
    5. According to the Techstream display, select the trouble code data display with Freeze Frame Data.
      COMBINATION METER

      Tester Display Measurement Item Reference Value
      Lost Communication with ECM/PCM "A" The distance and time when the DTC stored Min.: 0, Max.: 999999
      Lost Communication with Brake System Control Module The distance and time when the DTC stored Min.: 0, Max.: 999999
      Lost Communication with Power Steering Control The distance and time when the DTC stored Min.: 0, Max.: 999999
      Lost Communication with Body Control Module "B" The distance and time when the DTC stored Min.: 0, Max.: 999999
      Lost Communication with Restraints Control Module The distance and time when the DTC stored Min.: 0, Max.: 999999
  3. CLEAR FREEZE FRAME DATA 
    NOTE:

    Clearing the DTC will also clear the Freeze Frame Data.

    1. Connect the Techstream to the DLC3.
    2. Turn the power switch on (IG).
    3. Clear the DTC and Freeze Frame Data. Refer to DTC CHECK / CLEAR .
