Audio Receiver Assembly Communication Stop Mode: Procedure

  1. CHECK CAN BUS WIRE FOR DISCONNECTION (RADIO AND DISPLAY RECEIVER ASSEMBLY BRANCH WIRE) 
    1. Turn the power switch off.
    2. Disconnect the radio and display receiver assembly connector.

      *1 Front view of wire harness connector
      (to Radio and Display Receiver Assembly)
    3. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance

      Tester Connection Switch Condition Specified Condition
      L149-9 (CANH) - L149-10 (CANL) Power switch off 54 to 69 Ω

    NG → REPAIR OR REPLACE CAN BUS BRANCH WIRE OR CONNECTOR (RADIO AND DISPLAY RECEIVER ASSEMBLY) 

    OK: Go to next step 

  2. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (POWER SOURCE TERMINAL) 
    1. Measure the voltage according to the value(s) in the table below.

      *1 Front view of wire harness connector
      (to Radio and Display Receiver Assembly)
      *2 for 6 Speakers
      *3 for 8 Speakers

      Standard Voltage

      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      L146-4 (+B1) - Body ground*1
      L138-1 (+B1) - Body ground*2
      Always 11 to 14 V
      L146-3 (ACC1) - Body ground*1
      L138-11 (ACC1) - Body ground*2
      Power switch on (ACC) 11 to 14 V
      L149-1 (IG) - Body ground Power switch on (IG) 11 to 14 V

      *1: for 6 Speakers

      *2: for 8 Speakers

    NG → REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR (POWER SOURCE CIRCUIT) 

    OK: Go to next step 

  3. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (GROUND TERMINAL) 
    1. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      *2 for 6 Speakers
      *3 for 8 Speakers

      Standard Resistance

      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      L146-7 (GND1) - Body ground*1
      L138-20 (GND1) - Body ground*2
      Always Below 1 Ω

      *1: for 6 Speakers

      *2: for 8 Speakers

    NG → REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR (GROUND TERMINAL) 

    OK → See step   4 

  4. REPLACE RADIO AND DISPLAY RECEIVER ASSEMBLY. Refer to  REMOVAL
