Cruise Control Switch Circuit: Procedure
- READ VALUE ON TECHSTREAM
- Connect the Techstream to the DLC3.
- Turn the power switch on (IG).
- Turn the Techstream on.
- Select the following menu items: Powertrain / Radar Cruise / Data List.
- Check the Data List to confirm proper functioning of the cruise control switch.TEXT IN ILLUSTRATION

- INSPECT CRUISE CONTROL SWITCH
- Remove the cruise control switch. Refer to REMOVAL .
- Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.TEXT IN ILLUSTRATION

- CHECK CRUISE CONTROL SWITCH WIRE (SPIRAL CABLE - CRUISE CONTROL SWITCH)
- Disconnect the with sensor cable sub-assembly connector.
- Disconnect the connector from the cruise control switch.
- Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.
Standard Resistance (Check for Open)

- INSPECT SPIRAL WITH SENSOR CABLE SUB-ASSEMBLY NOTE:
The spiral with sensor cable sub-assembly is an important part of the SRS airbag system. Incorrect removal or installation of the spiral with sensor cable sub-assembly may cause airbag deployment. Be sure to read the service information shown in the link/brackets.
- Remove the spiral with sensor cable sub-assembly. Refer to REMOVAL .
- Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.
Standard Resistance (Check for Open)
Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition z10-1 - L52-7 (R/N) Center Below 3 Ω 2.5 rotations to the left 2.5 rotations to the right z10-3 - L52-1 (CCS) Center Below 3 Ω 2.5 rotations to the left 2.5 rotations to the right z10-4 - L52-2 (ECC) Center Below 3 Ω 2.5 rotations to the left 2.5 rotations to the right - After setting the spiral cable with sensor assembly to the center position, rotate the spiral cable with sensor assembly 2.5 times clockwise. Then while rotating the spiral cable with sensor assembly 5 times counterclockwise, measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

- Install the spiral with sensor cable sub-assembly. Refer to INSTALLATION .

- CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (DRIVING SUPPORT ECU - SPIRAL WITH SENSOR CABLE SUB-ASSEMBLY)
- Disconnect the driving support ECU assembly connector.
- Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.
Standard Resistance (Check for Open)

- REPLACE CRUISE CONTROL SWITCH. Refer to REMOVAL
- REPLACE SPIRAL WITH SENSOR CABLE SUB-ASSEMBLY. Refer to REMOVAL
