DTC C1516/16: Torque Sensor Zero Point Adjustment Incomplete: Procedure

  1. CHECK FOR DTC 
    1. Clear the DTCs (step 1). Refer to DTC CHECK / CLEAR .
    2. Calibrate the torque sensor zero point (step 2). Refer to CALIBRATION .
    3. Check for DTCs (step 3). Refer to DTC CHECK / CLEAR .

      HINT: 

      If DTCs are output, perform steps 1 to 3 two more times.

      Result

      Result Proceed to
      DTCs are still output after performing steering zero point calibration 3 times. A
      Normal system code is output. B

    B → END 

    A: Go to next step 

  2. REPLACE POWER STEERING ECU ASSEMBLY 
    1. Replace the power steering ECU assembly. Refer to REMOVAL .

    NEXT: Go to next step 

  3. CHECK FOR DTC 
    1. Calibrate the torque sensor zero point (step 1). Refer to CALIBRATION .
    2. Check for DTCs (step 2). Refer to DTC CHECK / CLEAR .

      HINT: 

      If DTCs are output, perform steps 1 and 2 two more times.

      RESULT

      Result Proceed to
      DTCs are still output after performing rotation angle sensor value initialization and steering zero point calibration 3 times. A
      Normal system code is output. B

  4. REPLACE STEERING POST ASSEMBLY. Refer to  REMOVAL
