Door Courtesy Switch Circuit: Procedure

- READ VALUE USING TECHSTREAM
- Connect the Techstream to the DLC3.
- Turn the power switch on (IG).
- Turn the Techstream on.
- Enter the following menus: Body Electrical / Main Body / Data List.
- Read the display on the Techstream.MAIN BODY

- INSPECT FRONT DOOR COURTESY LIGHT SWITCH ASSEMBLY (LH OR RH)
- Remove the front door courtesy light switch assembly. Refer to COMPONENTS .
- Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

- CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (INSTRUMENT PANEL JUNCTION BLOCK ASSEMBLY - SWITCH)
- for Front LH
- Disconnect the 2D instrument panel junction block assembly connector.
- Disconnect the R6 front door courtesy light switch assembly LH connector.
- Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.
Standard Resistance
Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition 2D-35 - R6-1 Always Below 1 Ω 2D-35 - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher
- for Front RH
- Disconnect the 2D instrument panel junction block assembly connector.
- Disconnect the S5 front door courtesy light switch assembly RH connector.
- Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.
Standard Resistance
Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition 2D-36 - S5-1 Always Below 1 Ω 2D-36 - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher
NG → REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR

- CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (MAIN BODY ECU - REAR COURTESY LIGHT SWITCH)
- for Rear LH
- Disconnect the L7 main body ECU (multiplex network body ECU) connector.
- Disconnect the R13 rear door courtesy light switch assembly LH connector.
- Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.
Standard Resistance
Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition L7-6 (LRCY) - R13-1 Always Below 1 Ω L7-6 (LRCY) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher
- for Rear RH
- Disconnect the L7 main body ECU (multiplex network body ECU) connector.
- Disconnect the S10 rear door courtesy light switch assembly RH connector.
- Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.
Standard Resistance
Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition L7-6 (LRCY) - S10-1 Always Below 1 Ω L7-6 (LRCY) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher

- Disconnect the R18 back door lock assembly connector.
- Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.
