DTC B2002: Open in Seat Belt Motor RH Circuit: Procedure
- INSPECT FRONT SEAT OUTER BELT ASSEMBLY RH
- Disconnect the front seat outer belt assembly RH connector.
- Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.
Standard Resistance
Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition S24-1 - S24-2 Always Below 20 Ω - Reconnect the front seat outer belt assembly RH connector.
NG → See step 4
OK: Go to next step
- CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (FRONT SEAT OUTER BELT ASSEMBLY RH - SEAT BELT CONTROL ECU)
- Disconnect the cable from the negative (-) auxiliary battery terminal.WARNING:
Wait at least 90 seconds after disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) auxiliary battery terminal to disable the SRS system.
- Disconnect the front seat outer belt assembly RH connector.
- Disconnect the seat belt control ECU connector.
- Using a service wire, connect 1 and 2 of the connector on the front seat outer belt assembly RH.NOTE:
Do not forcibly insert the service wire into the terminals of the connector.
- Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.
Standard Resistance

(to Front Seat Outer Belt Assembly RH)*b Front view of wire harness connector
(to Seat Belt Control ECU) - Disconnect the service wire from the front seat outer belt assembly RH connector.
- Reconnect the seat belt control ECU and front seat outer belt assembly RH connectors.
- Connect the cable to the negative (-) auxiliary battery terminal.
NG → REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR (FRONT SEAT OUTER BELT ASSEMBLY RH - SEAT BELT CONTROL ECU)
OK → See step 3
- Disconnect the cable from the negative (-) auxiliary battery terminal.
- REPLACE SEAT BELT CONTROL ECU. Refer to REMOVAL
- REPLACE FRONT SEAT OUTER BELT ASSEMBLY RH. Refer to REMOVAL
