How To Proceed With Troubleshooting

HINT: 

Use the following procedure to troubleshoot the rear view monitor system.

  1. VEHICLE BROUGHT TO WORKSHOP 

    NEXT: Go to next step 

  2. INSPECT AUXILIARY BATTERY VOLTAGE 
    1. Measure the auxiliary battery voltage with the power switch off.

      Standard Voltage

      11 to 14 V

      If the voltage is below 11 V, recharge or replace the auxiliary battery before proceeding to the next step.

      NEXT: Go to next step 

  3. PROBLEM SYMPTOM CONFIRMATION 

    Result

    Result Proceed to
    Symptom does not occur A
    Symptom occurs B

    B → Go to   6 

    A: Go to next step 

  4. SYMPTOM SIMULATION 

    NEXT: Go to next step 

  5. CHECK IF SAME SYMPTOM APPEARS IN NAVIGATION SYSTEM OR AUDIO AND VISUAL SYSTEM 
    1. Refer to the navigation system (for Navigation Receiver Type). Refer to PROBLEM SYMPTOMS TABLE .
    2. Refer to the navigation system (for Radio and Display Type). Refer to PROBLEM SYMPTOMS TABLE .
    3. Refer to the audio and visual system (w/o Daytime Running Light). Refer to PROBLEM SYMPTOMS TABLE .
    4. Refer to the audio and visual system (w/ Daytime Running Light). Refer to PROBLEM SYMPTOMS TABLE .

      Result

      Symptom does not occur A
      Symptom appears (follow the navigation problem symptom table to perform troubleshooting) (for Navigation Receiver Type) B
      Symptom appears (follow the navigation problem symptom table to perform troubleshooting) (for Radio and Display Type) C
      Symptom appears (follow the audio and visual problem symptom table to perform troubleshooting (w/o Daytime Running Light) D
      Symptom appears (follow the audio and visual problem symptom table to perform troubleshooting (w/ Daytime Running Light) E

      B → GO TO NAVIGATION SYSTEM (for NAVIGATION RECEIVER TYPE). Refer to  PROBLEM SYMPTOMS TABLE 

      C → GO TO NAVIGATION SYSTEM (for RADIO AND DISPLAY TYPE). Refer to  PROBLEM SYMPTOMS TABLE 

      D → GO TO AUDIO AND VISUAL SYSTEM (w/o Daytime Running Light). Refer to  PROBLEM SYMPTOMS TABLE 

      E → GO TO AUDIO AND VISUAL SYSTEM (w/ Daytime Running Light). Refer to  PROBLEM SYMPTOMS TABLE 

      A: Go to next step 

  6. PROBLEM SYMPTOMS TABLE 
    1. Refer to Problem Symptoms Table. Refer to PROBLEM SYMPTOMS TABLE .

      Result

      Result Proceed to
      Fault is not listed in Problem Symptoms Table A
      Fault is listed in Problem Symptoms Table B

      B → Go to   8 

      A: Go to next step 

  7. PERFORM TROUBLESHOOTING BASED ON MALFUNCTION SYMPTOM 
    1. Terminals of ECU. Refer to TERMINALS OF ECU .

      NEXT: Go to next step 

  8. ADJUST, REPAIR OR REPLACE 

    NEXT: Go to next step 

  9. CONFIRMATION TEST 

    NEXT → END
