Exhaust Pipe And Catalytic Converter: Removal: Removal

  1. DRAIN COOLANT (for Engine)  . Refer to REPLACEMENT - Step 1
  2. REMOVE TAIL EXHAUST PIPE ASSEMBLY 
    1. Remove the 2 bolts and 2 compression springs.

    2. Remove the tail exhaust pipe assembly from the 2 exhaust pipe supports.
    3. Remove the gasket from the front exhaust pipe assembly.
  3. REMOVE NO. 3 ENGINE UNDER COVER  . Refer to REMOVAL - Step 1
  4. REMOVE FRONT CENTER FLOOR BRACE SUB-ASSEMBLY 
    1. Remove the 4 bolts and front center floor brace sub-assembly.

  5. REMOVE HEATED OXYGEN SENSOR  . Refer to REMOVAL - Step 2
  6. REMOVE FRONT EXHAUST PIPE ASSEMBLY 
    WARNING:

    Perform this procedure when the coolant is not hot.

    1. Disconnect the 2 heater water hoses.

    2. Remove the 2 bolts and 2 compression springs.

    3. Remove the front exhaust pipe assembly from the 3 exhaust pipe supports.
    4. Remove the gasket from the exhaust manifold.
