How To Proceed With Troubleshooting

  1. VEHICLE BROUGHT TO WORKSHOP 

    NEXT: Go to next step 

  2. CUSTOMER PROBLEM ANALYSIS 

    NEXT: Go to next step 

  3. CHECK CAN COMMUNICATION SYSTEM* 
    1. Check if CAN communication DTCs are output. Refer to DIAGNOSIS SYSTEM .

      Result

      Result Proceed to
      DTCs are not output. A
      DTCs are output. B

      B → GO TO CAN COMMUNICATION SYSTEM. Refer to  HOW TO PROCEED WITH TROUBLESHOOTING 

      A: Go to next step 

  4. CHECK FOR DTC* 
    1. Check if meter/gauge system DTCs are output. Refer to DTC CHECK / CLEAR .

      Result

      Result Proceed to
      DTCs are not output. A
      DTCs are output. B

      B → PROCEED TO DIAGNOSTIC TROUBLE CODE CHART. Refer to  DIAGNOSTIC TROUBLE CODE CHART  . 

      A: Go to next step 

  5. PROBLEM SYMPTOM CONFIRMATION

  6. SYMPTOM SIMULATION 

    NEXT: Go to next step 

  7. PROBLEM SYMPTOMS TABLE 
    1. Refer to Problem Symptoms Table. Refer to PROBLEM SYMPTOMS TABLE .

  8. CIRCUIT INSPECTION

  9. REPAIR OR REPLACE
