How To Proceed With Troubleshooting

  1. VEHICLE BROUGHT TO WORKSHOP 

    NEXT: Go to next step 

  2. INSPECT BATTERY VOLTAGE 

    Standard voltage 

    11 to 14 V

    If the voltage is below 11 V, recharge or replace the battery before proceeding.

    NEXT: Go to next step 

  3. BASIC INSPECTION 
    1. Turn the ignition switch to ACC.
    2. Check whether or not the display appears on the radio receiver.
      RESULT

      Result Proceed to
      Display appears A
      Display does not appear B

      B → Go to step 4 

      A: Go to next step 

  4. CHECK FOR DTC 
    1. Check for DTCs and note any codes that are output.
    2. Delete for DTC.
    3. Recheck for DTCs. Based on the DTC output in the first step, try to force output of the audio system DTC by simulating the operation indicated by the DTC.

      HINT: 

      • If the system cannot enter the diagnosis mode, inspect each AVC-LAN communication signal and repair or replace problem parts.
      • Even if the malfunction symptom is not confirmed, check for DTCs. This is because the system stores past DTCs.
      • Refer to the detailed description on the diagnostic screen, as necessary. Refer to DTC CHECK / CLEAR .
      • Check and clear past diagnostic trouble codes. Check the diagnostic trouble code and inspect the area the code indicates.
      RESULT

      DTC does not reoccur A
      DTC reoccurs B

  5. PROBLEM SYMPTOMS TABLE

  6. OVERALL ANALYSIS AND TROUBLESHOOTING 
    1. Terminals of ECU. Refer to TERMINALS OF ECU 
    2. Inspect front No. 1 speaker. Refer to INSPECTION - Step 1
    3. Inspect front No. 2 speaker. Refer to INSPECTION - Step 3
    4. Inspect rear speaker. Refer to INSPECTION - Step 1
    5. Inspect steering pad switch. Refer to INSPECTION

      NEXT: Go to next step 

  7. ADJUST, REPAIR OR REPLACE 

    NEXT → END
