Data List / Active Test

  1. READ DATA LIST 

    HINT: 

    Using the Techstream's Data List allows switch, sensor, actuator and other item values to be read without removing any parts. Reading the Data List early in troubleshooting is one way to save time.

    1. Connect the Techstream to the DLC3.
    2. Turn the ignition switch ON.
    3. Read the Data List.
      D-DOOR MOTOR

      D Door P/W Auto SW Driver side power window auto UP / DOWN switch signal / ON or OFF ON: Driver side power window AUTO switch operates
      OFF: Driver side power window AUTO switch does not operate

      D Door P/W Up SW Driver side power window manual UP switch signal / ON or OFF ON: Driver side power window UP switch operates
      OFF: Driver side power window UP switch does not operate
      -
      D Door P/W Down SW Driver side power window manual DOWN switch signal / ON or OFF ON: Driver side power window DOWN switch operates
      OFF: Driver side power window DOWN switch does not operate
      -
      MAIN BODY

      Tester Display Measurement Item/Range Normal Condition Diagnosis Note
      Communication D Door Motor Connection status between power window regulator motor assembly (driver door) and main body ECU / OK or STOP OK: Connection
      Stop: No connection
      -
      D Door Courtesy SW Driver side door courtesy switch signal / ON or OFF ON: Driver door open
      OFF: Driver door closed
      -
      P Door Courtesy SW Front passenger side door courtesy switch signal / ON or OFF ON: Front passenger door open
      OFF: Front passenger door closed
      -
  2. PERFORM ACTIVE TEST 
    WARNING:

    Be careful to avoid injuries as this test causes vehicle parts to move.

    HINT: 

    Performing the Techstream's Active Test allows relay, VSV, actuator, and other items to be operated without removing any parts. Performing the Active Test early in troubleshooting is one way to save time. The Data List can be displayed during the Active Test.

    1. Connect the Techstream to the DLC3.
    2. Turn the ignition switch ON.
    3. Performing the Active Test by following the prompts on the tester screen.
