Active Torque Control 4WD System: Calibration: Calibration

  1. DESCRIPTION 
    1. When the 4WD control ECU is replaced with a normal one from another vehicle, or the yaw rate sensor is replaced, perform calibration.
    2. Follow the chart to perform calibration.
      Part Replaced Necessary Operation
      4WD Control ECU (When replaced with a normal one from another vehicle) Clear zero point calibration data
      Yaw Rate Sensor
      1. Clear zero point calibration data
      2. Perform yaw rate and deceleration sensor zero point calibration

      HINT: 

      • When the 4WD control ECU is replaced with a new one, calibration is unnecessary.
      • Calibrate the 4WD control ECU by performing calibration of the vehicle stability control system.
  2. PERFORM CALIBRATION (When Using Techstream) 
    1. Clear the zero point calibration data.
      1. Turn the ignition switch off.
      2. Connect the Techstream to the DLC3.
      3. Turn the ignition switch to ON.
      4. Turn the Techstream on.
      5. Enter the following menus: Chassis / Four Wheel Drive / Utility / Reset Memory.
      6. Operate the Techstream to clear the data.
        NOTE:

        When the yaw rate sensor is replaced, be sure to also perform vehicle stability control system calibration.Refer to CALIBRATION .

  3. PERFORM CALIBRATION (When not Using Techstream) 
    1. Calibrate the 4WD control ECU by performing vehicle stability control system calibration.

      HINT: 

      To perform vehicle stability control system calibration, refer to PERFORM ZERO POINT CALIBRATION OF YAW RATE AND DECELERATION SENSOR (When not Using Techstream).Refer to CALIBRATION .
