Mute Signal Circuit Between Navigation Receiver Assembly And Stereo Component Amplifier: Procedure
- CHECK STEREO COMPONENT AMPLIFIER ASSEMBLY
- Measure the voltage according to the value(s) in the table below.
Standard Voltage
Tester Connection Switch Condition Specified Condition L5-1 (MUTE) - Body ground Ignition switch ACC, Audio system playing → Changing source Above 3.5 V → Below 1 V TEXT IN ILLUSTRATION*1 Component with harness connected

- Measure the voltage according to the value(s) in the table below.
- CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (NAVIGATION RECEIVER - STEREO COMPONENT AMPLIFIER)
- Disconnect the D52 navigation receiver assembly connector.
- Disconnect the L5 stereo component amplifier assembly connector.
- Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.
Standard Resistance
Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition D52-7 (MUTE) - L5-1 (MUTE) Always Below 1 Ω D52-7 (MUTE) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher
NG → REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR
OK → See step 3
- PROCEED TO NEXT SUSPECTED AREA SHOWN IN PROBLEM SYMPTOMS TABLE. Refer to PROBLEM SYMPTOMS TABLE
- REPLACE STEREO COMPONENT AMPLIFIER ASSEMBLY. Refer to REMOVAL
