Sound Signal Circuit Between Navigation Receiver Assembly And Stereo Jack Adapter: Procedure

  1. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (NAVIGATION RECEIVER ASSEMBLY - NO. 1 STEREO JACK ADAPTER ASSEMBLY) 
    1. Disconnect the D53 navigation receiver assembly connector.
    2. Disconnect the D72 No. 1 stereo jack adapter assembly connector.
    3. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance (Check for Open)

      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      D53-17 (ALI) - D72-1 (ALO) Always Below 1 Ω
      D53-15 (ARI) - D72-2 (ARO) Always Below 1 Ω
      D53-16 (ASGN) - D72-3 (ASGN) Always Below 1 Ω
      D53-18 (AGND) - D72-5 (AGND) Always Below 1 Ω
      D53-19 (AUXI) - D72-4 (AUXO) Always Below 1 Ω

      Standard Resistance (Check for Short)

      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      D53-15 (ARI) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher
      D53-16 (ASGN) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher
      D53-17 (ALI) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher
      D53-19 (AUXI) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher
      D53-18 (AGND) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher

    NG → REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR 

    OK → See step   2 

  2. PROCEED TO NEXT SUSPECTED AREA SHOWN IN PROBLEM SYMPTOMS TABLE. Refer to  PROBLEM SYMPTOMS TABLE
