DTC B2274: ACC Monitor Malfunction: Procedure

  1. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (BATTERY - POWER MANAGEMENT CONTROL ECU) See step   1 

    NG → REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR IN CIRCUIT CONNECTED TO POWER SOURCE 

    OK: Go to next step 

  2. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (POWER MANAGEMENT CONTROL ECU - BODY GROUND) See step   2 

    NG → REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR 

    OK: Go to next step 

  3. INSPECT INSTRUMENT PANEL JUNCTION BLOCK ASSEMBLY (ACC RELAY) 
    1. Disconnect the 2A and 2D instrument panel junction block assembly connectors.

    2. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance

      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      2A-36 - 2D-7 20°C (68°F) 50.63 to 123.75 Ω
      TEXT IN ILLUSTRATION

      *a Component without harness connected
      (instrument panel Junction Block Assembly)

    NG → REPLACE INSTRUMENT PANEL JUNCTION BLOCK ASSEMBLY 

    OK: Go to next step 

  4. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (POWER MANAGEMENT CONTROL ECU - INSTRUMENT PANEL JUNCTION BLOCK ASSEMBLY) 
    1. Disconnect the 2A and 2D instrument panel junction block assembly connectors.
    2. Disconnect the D89 power management control ECU connector.
    3. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance

      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      D89-19 (ACCD) - 2A-36 Always Below 1 Ω
      2D-7 - Body ground Always Below 1 Ω
      D89-19 (ACCD) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher

    NG → REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR 

    OK: Go to next step 

  5. INSPECT POWER MANAGEMENT CONTROL ECU 
    1. Connect the power management control ECU connectors.

      *a Component with harness connected
      (Power Management Control ECU)
      - -
    2. Measure the voltage according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Voltage

      Tester Connection Switch Condition Specified Condition
      D89-19 (ACCD) - Body ground Engine switch off 1 V or less
      Engine switch on (ACC) 8.5 V or higher

    NG → See step   6 

    OK → SYSTEM RETURNED TO NORMAL (DTC STORED DUE TO BAD CONNECTION, BUT SYSTEM RETURNED TO NORMAL BY RECONNECTING CONNECTOR) 

  6. REPLACE POWER MANAGEMENT CONTROL ECU. Refer to  REMOVAL
