Occupant Classification Ecu: Installation: Installation

WARNING:

Some of these service operations affect the SRS airbag system. Read the precautionary notices concerning the SRS airbag system before servicing. Refer to PRECAUTION .

  1. INSTALL OCCUPANT CLASSIFICATION ECU 
    1. Install the occupant classification ECU with the claw.

      NOTE:

      If the occupant classification ECU has been dropped, or there are any cracks, dents or other defects in the case or connector, replace the occupant classification ECU with a new one.

    2. Connect the 2 connectors.
      NOTE:

      When installing the occupant classification ECU, be careful that the SRS wiring does not interfere with and is not pinched between other parts.

  2. INSTALL FRONT SEAT ASSEMBLY RH (for Manual Seat)  . Refer to INSTALLATION - Step 1
  3. INSTALL FRONT SEAT ASSEMBLY RH (for Power Seat)  . Refer to INSTALLATION - Step 1
  4. CONNECT CABLE TO NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL 
    NOTE:

    When disconnecting the cable, some systems need to be initialized after the cable is reconnected. Refer to INITIALIZATION .

    Torque: 5.4 N*m (54 kgf*cm, 48 in.*lbf) 

  5. ZERO POINT CALIBRATION AND SENSITIVITY CHECK 

    Refer to INITIALIZATION

  6. INSPECT SRS WARNING LIGHT 

    Refer to DIAGNOSIS SYSTEM
