ATEQ TPMS Reset Procedure (Direct TPM System)
NOTE:
This is a Direct TPM System. Vehicle has pressure sensors installed on the wheels.
NOTE:
The system will need to be initialized when tires are rotated; tires are replaced with tires of different pressures; tire pressure sensor and/or tire pressure monitor ECU are replaced. Set tire pressure within the specified range before initializing.
- Turn ignition switch to OFF position.
- Set the tire pressure of all wheels to pressure specified on the tire and loading information label.
- Select "Reset TPM System" on the TPMS3.
- Hold the TPMS3 against the side wall of the tire, within 3 inches of the valve stem. Press TEST button on the TPMS3 and read each of the sensor IDs in the following order: left front, right front, right rear, and then left rear. Spare tire may be required.
- Connect the TPMS3 OBDII module to the Data Link Connector (DLC) located under the driver's side of the instrument panel.
- Turn ignition switch to ON position. Do not start engine.
- When screen prompts to "CONNECT OBDII MODULE", press "Y" button on the TPMS3 to transmit sensor IDs.
- Use TPMS3 to trigger all 4 or 5 sensors until the TPMS warning indicator light on instrument panel is OFF.
- Turn ignition switch to OFF position. Disconnect the TPMS3 from DLC.
