On-Vehicle Inspection

  1. REMOVE AIR FUEL RATIO SENSOR HEATER RELAY 
    1. Remove the upper relay block cover.

    2. Remove the air fuel ratio sensor heater relay.

      *1 Air Fuel Ratio Sensor Heater Relay
  2. INSPECT AIR FUEL RATIO SENSOR HEATER RELAY

    1. Check the resistance.
      1. Using an ohmmeter, measure the resistance between the terminals.

        Standard Resistance

        Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
        3 - 4 Battery voltage not applied Below 1 Ω
        Battery voltage applied to terminals 1 and 2 10 kΩ or higher
        3 - 5 Battery voltage not applied 10 kΩ or higher
        Battery voltage applied to terminals 1 and 2 Below 1 Ω

        If the result is not as specified, replace the air fuel ratio sensor heater relay.

  3. INSTALL AIR FUEL RATIO SENSOR HEATER RELAY 
    1. Install the air fuel ratio sensor heater relay.
    2. Install the upper relay block cover.
