Air Conditioning Amplifier Communication Stop Mode: Procedure
- CHECK CAN BUS LINE FOR DISCONNECTION (AIR CONDITIONING AMPLIFIER BRANCH WIRE)
- Turn the ignition switch off.

(to Air Conditioning Amplifier) - Disconnect the air conditioning amplifier connector.
- Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.
Standard resistance
FOR 2AZ-FETester Connection Switch Condition Specified Condition E8-2 (CANH) - E8-3 (CANL) Ignition switch off 54 to 69 Ω FOR 2ZR-FETester Connection Switch Condition Specified Condition E73-8 (CANH) - E73-9 (CANL) Ignition switch off 54 to 69 Ω
NG → REPAIR OR REPLACE CAN BUS BRANCH WIRE OR CONNECTOR (AIR CONDITIONING AMPLIFIER BRANCH WIRE)
OK: Go to next step
- Turn the ignition switch off.
- CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (IG+, GND)
- Disconnect the air conditioning amplifier connector.

FOR 2AZ-FETester Connection Condition Specified Condition E8-12 (GND) - Body ground Always Below 1 Ω FOR 2ZR-FETester Connection Condition Specified Condition E73-24 (GND) - Body ground Always Below 1 Ω - Measure the voltage according to the value(s) in the table below.
Standard Voltage
FOR 2AZ-FETester Connection Switch Condition Specified Condition E8-8 (IG+) - Body ground Ignition switch ON 10 to 14 V FOR 2ZR-FETester Connection Switch Condition Specified Condition E73-14 (IG+) - Body ground Ignition switch ON 10 to 14 V
NG → REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR
OK → See step 3
- Disconnect the air conditioning amplifier connector.
- REPLACE AIR CONDITIONING AMPLIFIER ASSEMBLY. Refer to REMOVAL
